As a self confessed anti-fuss I can’t be bothered to mess with my hair because I already spent waaay too much time deciding on my outfit type person, I always figured this type of hair was just out of my league.
And yes, if you are asking, I did give in to the Moroccan oil peer pressure, but only because it was in my friend’s shower after she helped me out with a home dye kit. It was nice, I admit, but have you seen the price for that stuff? No thanks, I would rather walk around jingling that new stack of bangles I have had my eye on at the shops.
So when I heard about Dove’s Nutri-Oil Serum being able to do the same magical work, I secretly scoffed to myself. How could this oil do as it says ” A weightless formula that does not leave an oily residue” and “reduces roughness and frizz by 99%”
So they talk big, but do they walk the walk?
drum roll please……………
Actually they do!
I followed the directions (although to be fair this is only 1 part of a 3 part system – to do the whole thing right, you really should get the Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Care shampoo and conditioner – but hey 1 step at a time right?), put it on before blowdrying and away I went. And oh, by the way, it smells pretty fantastic, probably to do with the coconut and sweet almond oil added to it – yum!
Now, to give a bit of back history, I have very straight blonde dyed hair, which basically means it can start to feel like straw and get tons of split ends because it gets so dry and damaged. I have tried things like leave in conditioner (too greasy) and defrizz spray (makes it too flat and lifeless), before finally just going with it and embracing the slightly messy bedhead look in order to cover all that mess up and look like its meant to be that way.
Not anymore! Now I am definitely adding Dove Nutri-Oil to my regular routine (and seriously, its like $9.99 and will last for ages, so you should definitely go out and get some too!)
The proof is in the pretty shiny pudding (me at my 30th birthday moustache party – and no if your asking I did not try the serum on the moustache!)
Thanks Product Talk by Nuffnang, for the product to try out and review..
